Every plan you can enroll in via Catch and its partners are Qualified Health Plans.

This means all our plans are ACA-compliant and cover essential health benefits (EHB), including:

  • Ambulatory patient services (visits to doctors and other healthcare professionals and outpatient hospital care)

  • Emergency services

  • Hospitalization

  • Maternity and newborn care

  • Mental health and substance use disorder services, including behavioral health treatment

  • Prescription drugs

  • Rehabilitative and habilitative services and devices

  • Laboratory services

  • Preventive and wellness services and chronic disease management

  • Pediatric services, including oral and vision care

By definition, Qualified Health Plans are insurance plans that are certified by the Health Insurance Marketplace, provide essential health benefits, follow established limits on cost-sharing (like deductibles, copayments, and out-of-pocket maximum amounts), and meet other requirements under the Affordable Care Act.

All qualified health plans meet the Affordable Care Act requirement for having health coverage, known as “minimum essential coverage.”

It's important to make sure that when you are purchasing a health insurance policy it meets the minimum federal requirements so that you do not have to pay the federal tax penalty.
