Enhanced Direct Enrollment (EDE) is a relatively new feature that allows third party companies to enroll users in marketplace plans directly from their platform in a way that is often more user-friendly and intuitive. This is what allows you to enroll in health insurance directly through Catch.

In order to participate in EDE, companies must be an approved issuer or web-broker of Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). This means that the plans you enroll in via Catch are all Marketplace Plans*.

Marketplace Plans are plans sold via the state or federal marketplace and must meet certain regulatory requirements in order to comply with the Affordable Care Act (ACA). By complying with the ACA you can be sure that all marketplace plans offer a basic level of coverage that include things like preventative care and all the essential health benefits.

This means that any plan you see or enroll in via Catch are 100% ACA compliant.

*The only plans that are not Marketplace Plans are the Association Plans available via our partner, Decent. These plans are still ACA compliant.
