Catch has partnered with Oscar to offer you great health insurance coverage. Here are some of our most frequently asked questions about Oscar plans.
What’s great about Oscar plans?
Oscar plans prioritize making health care accessible and affordable. Here are a few of our favorite things about Oscar plans:
- Unlimited Virtual Urgent Care – Now more than ever, virtual care is an important part of staying health. All Oscar plans include unlimited Virtual Urgent Care available 24/7 for no additional charge.
- Digital Experience – Oscar offers a great digital experience, including an online account loaded with features and a mobile app.
- Oscar Care Team – Navigating using health insurance and getting the care you need can be complicated. Oscar pairs members with care guides and a nurse to provide prompt answers and help you get quality care.
And as an added benefit, you can earn money for healthy habits – through either step tracking or sleep tracking rewards.
What type of virtual care is available?
All plans include unlimited Virtual Urgent Care. You can connect with a doctor by phone call or message 24/7 for no additional charge.
All 2021 plans in CO, FL, NY, and TX also include Virtual Primary Care. Members get a dedicated Virtual Primary Care team. It’s unlimited and always $0 copay. With Virtual Primary Care, many follow-up services – such as labs and imaging – have $0 copay and are not subject to a deductible.
Are the Oscar plans offered by Catch marketplace plans?
If you live in one of the following states, the Oscar plans offered by Catch are on-marketplace plans:
AZ, GA, KS, MI, MO, OH, TN, VA, AR, IA, NC, OK
If you live in one of the following states, the Oscar plans offered by Catch are off-marketplace plans:
CA, CO, NJ, PA
What is the difference between on- and off-marketplace plans?
On-marketplace plans are plans available through the exchange in your state. They are eligible for federal subsidies and cost-sharing reductions to help you save money.
Off-marketplace plans are plans that are offered by Oscar in your state that are not available through the exchange. These plans are not eligible for subsidies and cost savings from the government. They are still ACA Compliant, meaning that they offer the same standards of coverage as an on-marketplace plan. More info here.
Is an Oscar off-marketplace plan a good option?
Keep in mind, this only applies if you live in CA, CO, NJ, or PA.
Catch recommends that you check to see if you are eligible for a subsidy on health insurance. If you are eligible for a subsidy, we recommend that you go through your state marketplace to get subsidized coverage. If you are not eligible for a subsidy, an off-marketplace Oscar plan is a good fit.
